Come join the lively discussion and discover new insights into the
Bible and faithful living. If the weather is nice, we'll gather
in the shade on the Sharon Lane side of the church. If too hot or
rainy, we will gather in the FarView House living room. Pastor Swenson
will lead the conversation.
Cappella Cantorum Summer Sings Series
Mondays through the summer
Registration: 7 to 7:30 p.m.
$8 per session
Summer Sings is an annual event, featuring major choral works, presented
for the enjoyment of the singers. Co-sponsored by Cappella Cantorum
and Con Brio, it provides an opportunity to sing major choral works.
It also offers a chance to work with noted choral conductors in
an air-conditioned setting. Guest soloists are often featured. Open
to all, no advance registration necessary. Music scores available.

(30 seats are available). Ten tickets have been generously donated

Annual Hymn Sing & Ice Cream Social

Enjoy your favorite flavor of ice cream and the sounds
of Knees to the Earth, a popular local Christian band, as they play
a variety of contemporary Christian songs and traditional favorite
hymns. What better way to spend a summer evening?

Baptisms at the Beach
Saturday, August 7
6:30 p.m.
Harvey's Beach on Great Hammock Road, Old Saybrook
A special worship service along the beach to celebrate
our own baptisms into Christ and the baptisms of the newest of God's
children. Bring a picnic supper. Beach will be open.
St. Paul Church's Gala 50th Anniversary Celebration Kick-off
Sunday, August 15
St. Paul Church welcomes back Rev. Steven Johnson, first
pastor of this church when it was organized in 1960. He will preach
at both services, and he and his wife Joan will be special guests
at a continental brunch between services. During that time the Johnsons
will share stories and reflections about St. Paul Church's life
as an infant congregation.
